Placement is the point where preparation turns into real‑life change.
This stage is about helping children move safely into their new family — and helping families feel supported through a period of adjustment that can be both joyful and emotional.
What placement support looks like
At YAA, placement is carefully planned and never rushed. Support includes:
- gradual introductions
- guidance on attachment and transitions
- regular social worker visits
- practical and emotional advice
Families often say this stage brings unexpected emotions — excitement, fear, happiness and exhaustion can all exist together.
That’s normal, and you’re never expected to manage this alone.
