Yorkshire Adoption Agency (YAA) is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating by Ofsted following its latest inspection—recognising the agency’s unwavering commitment to inclusive, compassionate, and high-quality adoption services.
The Ofsted report praised:

– Dedication to equity, diversity, and inclusion
Ofsted stated: ‘This agency carries out all work with efficiency, thoroughness and a strong child focus. Practice is innovative and thoughtful, ensuring that all children and adults receive a high-quality service that enhances their lives.’

Founded in 1946, YAA is a registered charity and Voluntary Adoption Agency based in Doncaster, serving families across Yorkshire, the Humber, and the Midlands.
Known for its innovative community engagement, YAA recently launched a campaign amplifying Black adoption stories during Black History Month and National Adoption Week.
Ray Powell, Chair of the Board of Trustees, added: ‘We believe adoption should be inclusive, empowering, and rooted in real relationships. This Outstanding rating affirms that our values are not just words—they’re lived out in every part of our service.’
