Hear from Gina our Adoption Team Manager as she shares more about our ChatAdopt sessions and how they help people who are thinking about adoption.
What is ChatAdopt and how did it start?
We created ChatAdopt to give anyone who is interested in adopting a child from the UK, the chance to talk about growing their family through adoption, in a less formal way than meeting face to face or watching a presentation.
Having these meetings online means you can connect with us in the comfort of your home and the conversational format about it will hopefully put you at ease.
What will I get out of attending a ChatAdopt session?
You will learn about UK adoption from our one or two of our friendly team and get to meet one of our adoptive parents who can tell you all about the process and what being an adoptive parent is like.
You can ask all the questions you might have to our team and our adopter to help you to work out if adoption is right for you.
Why is finding the right agency for my adoption journey important?
The adoption process involves lots of detail about our families to make sure we can find the right children for them, so it’s important to find an agency you feel confident and comfortable with, and an agency who can also can give you appropriate support, training and guidance on your adoption journey.
We believe that because adoption is a lifelong decision, our support is too.
What if I don’t want to attend ChatAdopt to find out more about adopting with YAA?
We will always try to speak with you to make sure you understand the process and give you the correct information for your situation.
This can be a call back at a time that is best for you or arranging a meeting online or in person. We will also share with you our Information Video and written information to digest in your own time.

ChatAdopt is currently held virtually so you will receive a Zoom link ahead of the date you are booked for to log on in the comfort of your own home.
